Was the prize to get a commission on one of their shows?

Quote: Griff @ August 5 2009, 11:39 PM BSTI think the prize was for them to film the winning script, and the winner from the first year has been produced (but not yet broadcast?). Also I think the finalists now have access to wave anything they write under Tony Jordan's highly influential nose.
Thats right. What shows are they producing for this prize?
Wot do you make of that?
Well the show they are in production with and that the winner is working on is only open to welsh writers as BBC policy!!! So you could be in with a shot Griff!

Keep looking but still nothing there.
Will it happen this year?

Is there life on Mars?
"But the film is a saddening bore,
'cause I wrote it ten times or more."

Have you read this?
Thanks. I just look at the site - not the blog.
Still nothing. I can see it's going to have to be a toss-up between this and NaNoWriMo.
"Later in the year" was the latest blurb from them.
I'm looking forward to this as I've got a decent 1 hour pilot, looking for a loving home, that'll be right up this particular street.

But you don't know what they're after this year.
The first one was a one off drama, the second was a comedy drama series.

True. Both winners scripts have been seemingly nothing like the usual Red Planet stuff we see on TV.
I know last year they wanted "a script of 1 hour duration, be it one-off or part of a series."
So... what I think I mean is... I've got a 1 hour pilot that (hopefully) will fit their criteria.
Are you welsh?
No. Worse. I'm originally from Essex.
