Eh up

Hi all. Yeah you guessed it my father's name is Joe. So, this is me a published poet (a grand total of 4 and none vanity either) who thinks he can or is going to write a play or three.

I'm from England (Hull) but I now live in Italy. I came here to finish my book, I'm a slow reader. (Eric Morecambe, gawd bless im) In all honesty I started a play 6 years ago and have only now just found the time to complete it and hope to write a couple more while I'm in between jobs. We have a small business here and I also teach English when I can get the work.

I'm quite a boring kinda person to talk to face to face but people have laughed and cried (in the right places) while reading my stuff. I'm not looking for the big time it's just a past time for me, but I'm gona enjoy reading these forums and contributing... sometimes... if the mood takes me.

I started a sketch 6 years ago and still can't think of a punchline.

Respect.

Welcome to the forums- though I would recommend against posting any poems in Critique (pearls and swine would not even come close).

Hello. Wave

Find a seat, and make yourself at home.

Hi there. Plenty of seats around everyones out tonight.

I have a mental block towards the number 2 as well. ;)

Welcome...

Hi Son of Joe

Some of us actually enjoy poetry.

I hope I get to read one of yours sometime.

Hey there.

Welcome to the BCG. What style of poetry do you write? Any major influences? Wave

Hi there Joe.
Not into poetry myself, but congrats for getting them published.
You want to write a play or three. Well, a thirty minute sitcom is probably out of my range. The most I could manage is a five minute sketch.
Mind you, this coming from someone who read Enid Blytons "Famous Five and Secret Seven" at the age of 25 is not suprising.
Welcome, from another newcomer.

Thanks for all the welcomes

As for my poetry I haven't written any for ages (I'm one of those people who, once I have achieved a goal I move on) One was even iced on to someone's wedding cake!! I tried my hand at most poetic forms and had no favourite, I just wrote what I felt was right.

Well Jane I used to run a poetry and short story web site a few years ago with many, many people for all over the world posting, which was good until I got bored. (didn't really, I was too busy studying to be a teacher and never went back to it.)

One question I'd like to ask you all. What do you call hitting the BIG time?

Having enough money to fund a constant flow of cocaine and whores, but needing to because they're provided gratis. :)

Hi there. :)

Howdy.
