Bum bum, he's right: http://www.babelgum.com/143601/the-catherine-tate-show-middle-class-family-boiled-egg.html

Maybe if she'd done more funny stuff like that, I'd have watched it more :)

Oh really. I've seen you through your window with your Tate DVD box set and pen and paper at the ready :P

I see you looking through my window with your pen and paper looking at me...

Dan

Well if you can see me, how about a cup of tea every now and again! Honestly what sort of host are you ;)

As Lee says, very Mitchell & Webb. Could probably improve on this line though

a BMW needs a bit of a push in Guildford!

A car breaking down is not a strictly a middle class problem, even if it is a BMW, and your superhero is moving into RAC territory.

Funny indeed. There are similarities certainly, but I think yours is maybe different enough.

Thank God for that -- I thought the shaky handwriting was down to you masturbating, not because you were cold...

;)

Cheers Timbo -- you're right, everyone has a BMW these days, don't they?

Dan

Oh yes nice point Timbo, can't believe nobody else had mentioned that in this thread. :O

Honestly, why do I bother Teary

Well, they are derigeur if you are a West Indian drug dealer. But if, rather than car having broken down, you had said that the car needed a wax and he couldn't get an appointment for two hours, that would have been closer to the trivial middle class emergency premise.

BMW is a good choice of brand though. I was speaking to an AA man the other day and he was regaling me with tales of how stupid BMW drivers are.

I wonder whether the BMW push is actually too much of a real problem to work effectivley as the last line, needs to be more trivial.

Oops! Missed that! :$

I like the concept.
I liked the skit.

I quite enjoy this character, to be honest, and think there's quite a lot of scope in it.

Thanks. It's kind of my specialism...
<looks to massive pile of middle-class related sketches. Sets light to them>

Dan

Aaah, so this is your go-to sketch idea, does this mean we'll be seeing a sketch about middle class Mr Men soon then...?

Quote: The Giggle-o @ September 17 2009, 9:55 PM BST

Good sketch Dan! I'm probably wrong but haven't you put up one like this before? Something to do with middle-class people having really insignificant problems and blowing them out of proportion?
:)

If you are going to go down the middle class road, then I would have gone in this direction.
"Have to go, My blackberry has just sent me a message that a poor woman in Notting Hill reports that her Nanny has not reported for duty and she needs her 3 month old babies nappy changed.
