RIP Henry Gibson

Just heard about his passing. For all of you who don't recognize the name, he was a member of Laugh In, one of the best variety shows to come out of the US ever. He was the fella who walked out carrying the large flower and then rattled off a horrendously awful poem. He was also the voice of Wilbur in the original animated Charlotte's Web. RIP.

Oh, no. Was just talking about The 'burbs yesterday. :(

That's one of my favourites!

I loved The Burbs. A great overlooked movie. And Henry Gibson only 73 - he looked much older. Great talent, though. RIP.

I completely forgot about his part on Boston Legal, a great series that was never given the chance it deserved.

Agrred. A great show that shone a spotlight on America. He was the judge that still lived with his mother, wasn't he? :D

Grouchy Judge Brown. I looked forward to every appearance.

A lot of people probably best remember him as the neo-Nazi leader in The Blues Brothers.

CoolCool

Yes, another good role. And he was in Biodome, a movie I love to hate. :)

Aww, sad news. The 'burbs was my first thought, but I'd forgotten he'd been in The Blues Brothers. Wasn't he also in Magnolia...? RIP

Yes, the movie that reacquainted the world with Supertramp. :)

Ah, thanks for that DaButt, now I know exactly who you mean - 'The Jew is using the black man as muscle, what are you going to do about it Whitey?'

Gibson was only in a tiny fraction of Blues Brothers but I can remember his face vividly.
