Does anyone remember this series from 1987-1993. It was about a mismatched courting couple in Liverpool: Wiscracking Brenda and mother's boy Malcolm.
We have it on DVD - I wasn't around when it started, see. It was such an hilarious series.

I've only seen the first couple of episodes from series one, and it seemed ok. Nothing special though. Better than some, yes, but pretty average overall.
Think I should try and stick with it a bit more though?
Everyone's always going on about that!
I think I vaguely remember it.
Anyone got any pics to jog my memory?
Google it and then Google Image the cast.
Actually, I seem to recall that Liza Tarbuck was in it? Or am I making that up entirely? Far too lazy to look.

That's right, Aaron, Liza Tarbuck played Pamela - Brenda's sister. Nursie from Blackadder II is in it as Malcolm's henpecking Mother. The only series released officially is the first one. We have all seven series on DVD: Someone on eBay had taped them all off Granada Plus and copied them onto DVDs. It's six quid on Amazon.
A bit twee but a very successful sitcom.
I love this sitcom, its one of my all-time favourites. I have memories of watching it round my Nans when I was little.
I wish they would release more than series one though, I'd love to see them all again.
As of May 25th 2009, the first four (of seven) series will be available on DVD.

I like the look of Series 4 best. Boom tish.
Watching was a great series, and things really get even better with Series 5. The first four series are great, but are merely prologue compared to the ten-part 5th series.
I recall enjoying this, though that may in part have been due to the effect Emma Wray had on my teenage hormones.
Really liked this when I caught a repeat on Granada Plus a few years ago.
Just wonder why after taking a year between 1&2 and 2&3 they are only leaving 1 month between 3&4.
They probably want to get it all out as soon as possible.
Maybe Netwrok should apply same approach to Second Thoughts then
