I studied Electrical Engineering and most of my classes had 300-500 students and the professors would lecture without taking questions. Then you had to go to a separate class where graduate students would take questions and try to explain the lecture. But they were often Russian or Indian and barely spoke English. I used to get very angry about it.

That's really stupid. They should always make sure the lecturers/tutors have very good English (in English speaking countries, naturally). Or they're just pointless.

I'm just very, very scared about it right now.
That is normal babe, but everyone will be. Sending you a big hug xxx
Thanks. I really need one.

Ha. Like one of my lecturers in my final year.

The university even had a "student bill of rights" which specifically stated that you had the right to demand that your instructors spoke understandable English, but there wasn't much you could do when the Russian guy appeared halfway through the semester. I assume you could drop the class, but that would have meant that I'd drop below full-time status and would lose a portion of my veterans benefits.
Just opened an e-mail from an old high school friend to find a photo of her brand new daughter emerging from her "rude area" (as George on Men Behaving Badly would say)! Didn't see that coming. She usually sends me shitty gluten-free recipes.
My friend sent me a photo of her new daughter and after a few seconds I realized that a gaping C-section wound was visible in the background.

Eew. What amused me most about the picture I saw tonight was that she is completely shaved down there. I know her doctor personally and know that she doesn't require that. I like knowing something like that about her. She was always such a prude.

Oh yes!
We had a good 200 in ours they would just come in be very boring, write some crap on the board and then leave me non the wiser!
One guy was young. Had vey long curtain style hair would come in head down, hair all over his face and scribble his dross on a OHP and mumble into the screen and then go!
Excellent!
I think there is a MASSIVE divide over the quality of leacturers in Engineering / Science and the Arts. It's like a different world.
Andie is having a big sad upon hearing that Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary has died. Her music was the part of the soundtrack of my youth. *sigh*
