Anime Studio Pro help

Can anyone tell me the best way to have two characters talking, at the same time, like in conversation lol.

Do I use a single track, with both pieces of dialogue together or two separate tracks for each persons voice? I tried the latter, but can't get both of them playing at the same time.

Cheers!

Separate tracks.

I've only tried the demo for Anime Studio and I've only done very short animations but from my limited experience I've found it much easier to use separate tracks for each voice. I'm pretty sure that's what Gav does with his too. Seeing as though his actors are often in different parts of the country.
Edited: Ignore my post, Gavin answered. :)

Cheers guys!

So, how do I do that then? :D I appear to only be able to select one soundtrack per animation.

Is it full version?

I always use separate tracks for voices, SFX, music. You end up with huge time lines but you can tweak everything then so it sounds just right, and not have to go and re edit stuff down.

Yeah, Pro 5.

I can't figure out how to ave both voices talking at the same time, I've added a track to each mouth but only one can be heard.

I'll have a gander once I'm home.

Cheers dude, can't find any tutorials for it. :(

Coz it's a semi pro bit of software. So all tutorials you'll prob have to pay for :P

Yeah, only have the basics. But I'm only planning on doing mostly static shots. No walking characters or anything crazy like that!

I use a single audio track which has both character's voices on that I have edited together beforehand in Wavepad. Then I just don't move the mouth of the character who isn't talking. If that's what you mean.

Music/FX you can add later in Premiere or Final Cut, best to have these tracks separate as Gav says.

Thanks ShoePie. Do you use the auto lip syncing featured in AS? It's very hard to get the timing right, I can't figure out how to set key frames or move objects along the time line. I'm sure I'll work it out, I'm just impatient.

I decided to go with two separate shots for each character.

Not sure what's gone before in this thread, but that is VERY quiet. I can't hear a word.

Turn the speakers up? :P I'm not sure what's happening at your end, but it's quite loud here. Anyone else getting this problem?
