Keith Floyd - RIP Page 2

Floyd was one of only two so-called "celebrity chefs" who did not irritate me. Three if I include Mr T as a celebrity chef, as he currently stars in some infomercials being screened on Australian TV for a cooking gadget.

Was the other one Vincent Price? I hope so!

Anyway, Rest in Peace Floyd.

No (I never saw Vincent Price cook), the other one was an obnoxious bearded Australian called Peter Russell-Clarke, who used to have a 5-minute cooking show that came on before The Goodies and Doctor Who. His show was mercifully short and he wasn't a pretentious prat. Somewhere there's a blooper reel of his out-takes, with fun things like "burn the f**king c**ts till they go black".

Laughing out loud

All of that fish didn't do him much good; he looked at least 10 years older than he was. Too much alcohol and tobacco. Cannot believe the guy was only 65. Not a good innings at all.

well the booze and fags didn't help, but he did also have cancer.

That will age you.

But he's always looked older than he evidently was. I'd have put him as mid-50s in his programmes which I now know were made in the mid 1980s.

Yes but when someone is 12 like you Aaron people always look older than they really are.

Yeah, Mr ... OLDIE PANTS!
