Galaxy Quest
One of my most favourite movies of all time...
Hugely under-rated film. Funnier than it should be though. (I'm great at contradicting myself.)
It's got my most favourite Alan Rickman performance, hands down! All his whinging and moaning throughout...fantastic! And Tony Shaloub as Fred, the tech guy...oh hell, I could go on, but won't.
And the presence of Tim Allen doesn't automatically mean the film is terrible in this case.
I know, it's amazing he didn't ruin it. My husband was a big Tim Allen fan and he watched the movie for him, the ignoramous.
I've got nothing against him, just the words "movie" and "Tim Allen" are usually a recipe for disaster. Never really got 'Home Improvement' either. Was shown over here, but not much talked about.
Against my will I was forced to watch every episode. Home Improvement was very popular in its early days, but quickly became stagnant and repetitive. My husband was a massive Tim Allen fan and I was dragged to many a movie theatre. Wild Hogs, Joe Somebody, The Shaggy Dog...blech!!!!

I <3 Galaxy Quest.
I find something new and funny with every viewing. Tonight I couldn't stop laughing at how incredibly depressing Alan Rickman's apartment is.
