very much the Ricky Gervais school of comedy.

Oh, is he an influence then?

Quote: James Cotter @ September 10 2009, 8:55 PM BST

not really. I watched the episode the other day for the first time in a month

What self-control you have.

Quote: James Cotter @ September 10 2009, 8:55 PM BST

found many of the jokes funny but too subtle at times especially Keith segments.

A continuing defence of yours is that your humour is too subtle for us comedy philistines to notice. Is there just a tiny possibly that - if so many people cannot see these subtle gags - they may just be a figment of your imagination, James? There is a difference between admirable self-confidence and delusional arrogance. Pretty much everyone who has taken the time to offer you constructive criticism (such as Marc P) is essentially dismissed as wrong. It may not be obvious to you that this is how you respond to criticism, but I'm afraid it is true.

I would urge you to spend some more time learning the craft of writing and less time in self-promotion at this stage. Best of wishes.

Come on Tim, don't be so mean.

I've watched the Outtakes James, and they are just as entertaining as the main feature.
I can't give higher praise than that.

Tim's not a happy bunny rabbit is he!

EDIT...but reading through the thread, he's right. :)

I'm perfectly happy, thanks bigfella. :) Though this is why I should never again break my rule about straying into 'Critique'. But I did come back to this one thread, as it is pretty much the only one I have followed and because I was interested in reading Marc P's comments. I'm not trying to be personal in a vindictive sense, even if it might seem that way. I shall not comment further on this matter as I don't want to cause anyone any upset. All the best, James.

We're all only having a laugh, & James seems to be quite thick skinned enough, which any aspiring comedy writer needs to be.

I'm not thick-skinned. I'm as delicate as an outrageous old queen's pile-ridden anus. Teary

Wow that got a bit filthier.
Sick ;)

Who breaks a pile-ridden anus on a wheel?

Pierce Brosnan?

(Writing is re-writing. Whistling nnocently )

Jealousy really is an ugly thing.

;)

I know. I only wrote that to get some more of the attention I crave. :(

Have you got Baron Munchausen syndrome by proxy?

:D

Mr Cotter can be thankful for one thing (other than the f**king music), he's achieved the longest ever thread on 'Critique'. (I think?)

A shameless self-publicist needs no such help! or maybe this is all part of his elaborate ruse to appear self-satisfied therefore getting people's backs up which = more posts = more publicity = more fame = James' dream!!
