I for one enjoy his stuff, I was just taking a guess at his method.
Derren Brown: Predicting the Lottery Page 6
Personally I think it's quite clever - even if he didn't really do it. To make it appear that he did it was enough to impress me.
Well I thought it was crap...And before you ask, no I didn't watch it!
Quote: Kenneth @ September 10 2009, 3:48 PM BSTBut I doubt there's any regulation banning people (apart from Camelot employees) from making a prediction prior to the draw.
That is indeed rather unlikely.
Paul Daniels tweeted a couple of days ago that they wouldn't let him do a similar trick because people would think it was fixed.
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ September 10 2009, 3:53 PM BSTMy best ones are a disembodied arm and a brilliant trick where half of a chosen card appears in a balloon. I also know a fab mind-reading card trick that always impresses.
I've always fancied the balloon one, but am awful with cards (in general), so I know I'd just bodge it up.
Paul Daniels should roll over and die.
Quote: Kevin Murphy @ September 10 2009, 4:17 PM BSTThere's a theory going around that the draw is recorded at 8pm every Wednesday
Possible, but I suspect highly illegal.
What like Paul Daniel's marriage to Debbie McGee?
Quote: Kevin Murphy @ September 10 2009, 5:07 PM BSTI'm surprised he's getting any hostility at all here. I've often thought magic and comedy are quite similar disciplines. A reveal is just a form of punchline, right?
The "hostility" has been towards him, not magic. People are merely speculating as to the latter.

No.

But surely DB is the finest practitioner of his generation. Much like Ricky Ger... oh I get it.

There can't be any such regulation because each week several million people try to predict the draw.

He's a good illusionist, not magician. But his smug-c**t aura and slappable face override that 'talent' in the eyes of some.

Have you been taking steroids?

What's the difference, in your opinion?

They're one and the same Aaron.
Obviously, this is total bollocks. If he was genuine his show would have gone out before the newsagents closed. F**k off fakers.
