This is post is well off topic.

Do you keep all your reviews in a case Tim? Do you take them on holiday with you? Touch them?

:|

Sorry, I feel a little strange. :D *wanders off into distance*

I keep closing the case, but then have to open it up to put new reviews in, before closing it again. It's very annoying. :(

I'm not warming to Angelos. But I think that might be because I miss Johnny Vegas. :(

I am rather enjoying him. He made Bob laugh yesterday, and then that made him laugh. Which was funny.

Small things...

Poor.

I was watching tonight's episode with my 62 year old mother who described the show as "stilted", "predictable" and commented sympathetically that "it's difficult to re-hash an old show and make it work". There you are, mother has spoken. Case closed.

So what you're saying is, you have the same comedy views as a 62-year-old woman? :P

Teehee.
I don't think pensioners have ever been that into Vic and Bob to be honest.

Even the ones who liked Spike Milligan and the Goon Show and stuff in their day, which is a bit silly really.

He's much funnier than Vegas. Vegas is a good comic actor but a piss poor comedian. The one-trickiest of one-trick ponies.

I liked Vegas, but honestly haven't missed him a bit yet.

It's a good trick though.
:P

Every now and then you see a reminder of how good Vic and Bob's brand of surreal comedy is like the revealing of the pound coin at the end of Vic's dance with Liz McClarnon. The majority of each episode is usually pretty cringeworthy though. It's still a mile ahead of the likes of Mock the Week but you could argue it is only very loosely a panel show and so should have the scope to be alot better.

I agree about the pound coin. That was brilliant. :)

Ageist!

No, what I'm saying is that my mother is a surprisingly astute critic for a 62 year old woman. :)

Does she like your stuff?...

She hasn't read it, to be honest. I tell her basic premises of shows and she suggests what she thinks would be better. But she hates the name of one of my sitcoms, which is named after the lead character. It's not rude or anything, she just detests the "type of person" the name implies. My mother is able to deduce everything about a person (even a fictional character) from hearing just their name, she's clever like that. Rolling eyes

What? Like Gupta, Leroy or Wang Chi? That's not clever, that's just racist.

And yes, we're back in the 'Off Topic Zone'. I get be General Zod.
