If you read things like his book, Scotti, you'll realise that all his stunts are just brilliantly executed tricks combining psychology, mathematics, illusion, suggestion/hypnosis and diversion. In the shows where he predicts events, he is able to script the events which occur and then use these skills to ensure an outcome. Impossible to set an outcome to a truly random event. :)

Ive got his book. Very interesting. But, a truely random event like the lottery? Suely he cannot script the lottery in his favour, he is using nobodies mind. It's a machine.

It's bedtime.

:)

He is either a massive fake or the antichrist. As the bible predicts in revelation- nations will turn on one another, terrible natural disastors, religious war and the antichrist will roam the earth.

And he's also on Radio 2 in the afternoons

That's what I was saying. Oh well. Night, night. Wave

A friend of mine who generally hates most of the human race met Darren Brown and despite being a very difficult to please person, thought he was the greatest thing ever. He obviosuly did something to her. It took me three months working the same office every day to make her like me,

Ooh, I just read a reeeeeeally good idea of how he did it. That's convinced me that has.

Heh. If I was his boyfriend a little part of me would always wonder how he'd got me to be with him. :)

Well, of course, Darren Brown is a lovely bloke, you couldn't help but like. Thank God she never met Derren though, she'd have hated him. ;)

Well, go on then...

Weeeell, if it's true don't blame me for ruining it.

Possible maybe spoiler! Probably not! But just in case!.....

Derren said it was a whole year's project for him building up to tonight, so he might have filmed all the thousands (however many it is for 5 numbers) of possible combinations of numbers, and then they cut in the correct one at the end of the transmission.

That would be a reasonable explanation. It would have had to be a clever jump cut from the live shot to the recorded one, however. And he did get 6 numbers right (excluding the bonus ball), not 5, which means there may have been something else going on. (Although he said he considered 5 out of 6 a success.)

Oh yeahhh, six then. :)
How many variations would there be of that I wonder...

On Friday, as usual with his big stunts, I imagine he will explain the fundamentals of the trick, but leave one or two crucial little details out which still would need explaining. Still, I prefer this kind of approach than a straightforward magician who amazes/fools you and leaves you guessing forever. When there's more than one way to do most tricks, that always seems a little unfair.

Yeah, I can't stand not knowing something I want to know.

Alone In The Wild.

New Tricks.

Is the Troughton who plays a thug the same one who played Piers in The New Statesman?

Alone In The Wild.

''Ive never done anything like this before...I lived on a farm''

Oh god, it's gonna end in tears, and I think it does.

Errr
