Quote: chipolata @ September 9 2009, 10:18 AM BSTI found myself curiously unmoved by the brutal concentration camp scenes.
Too much time on the BCG will inure you to that sort of stuff.

Yeah that and a personality disorder.
Stuff I vaguely recall liking a lot:
Sideways
Garden State
Roger Dodger
Threesome
Little Miss Sunshine (might be considered 'big' after all the awards)
Cube and Cube 2: Hypercube
I was always one for Human Traffic too. That was brill.
And I really liked A Life Less Ordinary, but I know not many people did.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension deserves a mention I think.
Quote: Bad dog @ 2nd September 2009, 5:26 PM BSTHow about The Rise and Rise of Michael Rimmer, starring Peter Cook. I don't think it's been on TV for 25 years, but I think the DVD is available. It details the rise of a slippery politician, made in 1970, i.e. 25 years before New Labour. Written by Cook, Cleese, and Chapman etc.
I bought this today as a box set of 3 from a Charity Shop for £3. The other 2 films are Viv Stanshall's Sir Henry at Rawlinson End and Futtocks End.
I bought mine with Simon Simon, a Home of Our Own and San Ferry Ann-that's the full box set.
San Ferry Ann is to with the Brits causing chaos in Calais-probably quite relevant...

Love Futtocks End - soooooooooo funny.
The one I would love to see again is "Bullshot". Alan Shearman was superb as Capt. Hugh (Bullshot) Crummond and it had Billy Connolly, Mel Smith et al to add to the fun.
