Ah, the fatal flaw.

He'd have to get injections and everything... :(

He'd make a good alien though.

He could let the aliens see a bit of his bum while he was washing up. That could be just the thing to solve intergalactic problems.

Gervais has already been an alien in Doctor Who.

I'm surprised the people who make of Doctor Who went along with it; Gervais was basically saying he thought the show was shit.

Seemed to me more like a joke about old Doctor Who with it's unconvincing aliens.

Going slightly away from the Historical characters;
As Reece Shearsmith is the only Performing LOG member not to have been on Dr Who yet, I'd quite like to see Dr Who against Papa Lazarou.

Like the good old days of Spitting Image, sometimes the highest praise is being important enough to have the piss taken.

But then it makes no sense, as he was appearing in modern Who???

That's true.
Although the new series does have a few unconvincing aliens.

So I agree that they were stupid for letting them do it, as It could have made Dr Who a bit of a laughing stock.
I don't think it did though, so they got away with it.

Maybe the person in charge of Who at the time wasn't a stuffy bastard with no sense of humour!

Could Doctor Who do a Wizard of Oz special?
They've got the Scarecrows, they've got the Tin men, they've even got a little dog.
Was there ever a Lion type monster?

Well, there were the Tharils (oppressed time-jumping monsters perhaps) in Warriors' Gate, one of the later Tom Baker serials. Specifically, the one where Romana and K9 depart. Oh dear, then it was just Adric, then Nyssa and then Tegan.

Here's a lovely new Tom Baker website.

And of course the third Doctor was a scarecrow at one point in his career.

The cartoonist responsible for this seemed to be unaware of cybermen. Or maybe daleks were just more recognizable?

His old website had a section called Baker's Dozen, where every month or two or three, he would answer 12 selected questions from fans.

I have a question for you Doctor Who experts.
I know the movies with Peter Cushing are regularly ignored by Whofans but are they worth watching? Are they any good? Do they fit at all into the Whoverse?
