Just read this:

"Richard Curtis, the man behind some of the most successful British films and comedies, has agreed to write an episode of Doctor Who.

Speaking to the British Tabloid The Sun, Curtis said he has been asked to write for Matt Smith's first series. He told the paper he couldn't reveal much about the plot. but it would feature a famous historical character battling against a monster."

The Sun also suggest it could be Blackadder.

That would be so very, very, very wrong.

Margaret Thatcher vs Godzooki?!

Godzooki isn't a historical figure.

Rowan Atkinson has already proved he would make a fine doctor. Likewise Jim Broadbent.

But probably the Curtis episode will be Isaac Newton matching wits against Cookie Monster.

Or a reprise of Ricky Gervais and Elmo?

Not Ricky Gervais - I can't stand the man. Rowan Atkinson would make a fantastic Doctor though.

Steve Merchant?

Ooh, Karl Pilkington would be a good Doctor. He looks at the world from an alien point of view already.

"Why would I want to travel in time and space? I'm better off here, y'know, where I know me surroundings..."

Ah, the fatal flaw.

He'd have to get injections and everything... :(

Gervais has already been an alien in Doctor Who.

"Nah, it's too much hassle, isn't it? I wouldn't want a Tardis, it's too big. Me and Suzanne know where we are with a small flat, you know, it's easy to clean and that." :|
