I'm having second thoughts. Leicester Square makes me very nervous, especially at night. There are far too many police around.

Just seen that I've got an acknowledgment too, which means a lot to the average bundle of neuroses that a writer is. I thought they said we wouldn't be getting one? Marc, they said it was 380, not 680, which gives us all a better chance. Is anyone sure of the number of entries to be selected, please? I've heard figures of 32 and then 16, but with four heat dates with a two hour show you could just about, feasibly fit in 32 performances, but that would give no room at all for scene changes, overruns or even voting. So does anyone know, is it 32 or 16? Or does it depend on the quality of entries? Ta.
I'm on tenter-hooks (if that's the word) while waiting to find out the final choices
good luck to all of you who have entered.
My gord, you've started early Adam. It'll be a month at least before I allow myself to worry, I don't think I'm allowed any more Prozac than I already take.
Well, not too early, cus if the first show is on September 25th or October 2nd, they'd need to prepare A.S.A.P. wouldn't they
Hello
I have entered too and have recently been lurking on this site but only because I had trouble registering.
I've never entered this competition before - saw it on the BBC writersroom thing. There seems to be a couple of folk on here who had some success in previous years?
Sal
First heat is apparently on Mon 19th Oct, Adam so that gives you a bit more worry time, I'm afraid (if you are so inclined). Don't do it to yourself, ever wondered why writers are portrayed in films as nervous wrecks nursing throbbing ulcers. Reach for the prozac, or a long and complicated novel.

Why didn't you Mikey? Professional actors acting your work out in front of a live audience, prod co's would kill for that kind of try out if they are considering it, specialy if there are heads of BBC comedy getting involved like last year.

Im curiously excited about this one. Feels like the X Factor for comedy writers.
