Nice one. Well done. But 18 acts? That's a ridiculously long bill, man! Which was your spot in the running order? :)

7th 2nd after the 1st break and yes the last 3 or 4 acts didn't do well the crowd had had enough.

It's not that unusual. The gig I'm doing tonight has anything up to 24.

That's not a comedy night that's speed dating. I feel sorry for the audience...

It is a gong show though so only 7 of us made it to deliver a 6 minute set some were carded off after 1-2 minutes so it isn't as bad as it seems

Congrats! Second is pretty good for the CV - although that is a long way to go for gig, it sounds like it was worth it.

I got lazy or bored with the same London gigs and hadn't gigged for 2 months so forced myself to do something different in a fresh environment to get my mojo back.

Has any of you stand ups done the Frog and Bucket?

No. How's the frog and bucket joke go?

I did my first ever gig at the Frog and Bucket. 2002.

How did that go for you? If I ever get round to finally giving stand-up a jab that would probably be the first choice for me as well.

it went very well. The week after I died on my arse, though. But I had a very strong incentive to keep on at it - I wanted to stop working in an office.

It's just the way the open mic circuit is right now and we must all bend like reeds in the wind to the forces of change.

Yeah, go on, Bussell, bend over, take the Yankee dollar... Unimpressed

I'll thank you to tuck your dollar into my waistband like all the other close-talking, beery men!

In general it seems to be one of the nicer clubs.

I could do with a good laugh, love, how much for a full strip, Comedy Boy?

Just slide some fresh Adult Swim DVDs into his waistband and he'll do anything you want . . .

Is it a gong show or pay to play then?
