Writing for Newsjack (aka 7 on 7) Page 85

In the very last paragraph at the back of the contract where it says 'A copy of my VAT registration has been lodged with the BBC' are they going to fill in those details for you, cos I'm sure I don't have them.

Are you vat registered?

I just wrote n/a as I'm not VAT-registered.

At what point does one actually get VAT-registered, does anyone know?

Dan

Currently it's for sales over £68,000 Dan so you've got a way to go, although you can voluntarily register for VAT before that I believe.*

I asked them about the VAT question as I had another query on the contract and they said to ignore it if not VAT registered.

*That advice has cost you £12.50 (net).

Jx

Well, then I shall *never* be VAT-registered!

Yeah
:)

Anyone else going to these workshops next month?

I'm booked on the 12th.

Dan

Yep, I'm there on the 12th.

Ditto. :)

12th here too.

Wow, fantastic - I'll see you on the 12th too. Be good to put some faces to some familiar names. You do all use your real names on here like I do?

It also coincides with Carpark's unofficial piss-up, I think.

I am also down for the 12th, followed by the car park piss-up.

Well done everyone and v.encouraging that the BBC is taking the workshop approach on another show.

Sadly, it looks like 14 seconds of Michael Jackson vox pop is not enough to get me onto it. What were the odds on that...
