Grim Reality

Warning: video contains graphic images

It was made for just a few thousand pounds, stars unpaid student actors and was designed to warn youngsters in a corner of south Wales about the perils of texting while driving.

They may not seem the obvious ingredients for international success, but the four-minute film made by Gwent police has become an internet phenomenon, which has now been seen by millions of people and featured on TV news channels in the US.

Though, until now, it has been unheralded in the UK, the film has fuelled debates about road safety and prompted people from India to Canada to contact the Welsh force to describe how affected they have been by the images.

That's my local police force and the Slaggs. In fact Tredegar is the next major town to where the Slaggs live. And that was an excellent video.

Is there a major town in Gwent? :P

Yay, SlagB saw them filming it and tried to claim for whiplash

Life in Wales is a continual unending car crash. :)

Yay, but isn't life in Wales a continual unending car crash?

That there were survivors.
Imagine how bad they must have felt regaining consciousness in hospital, eh?

I'm only guessing. I live in Cwmcarn mate which is one of the major centres for black holes in the universe.

If it was the Prince of Wales hospital in Merthyr then they wouldn't I can assure you.

Blackwood must be 'black hole free' coz even a black hole has an event horizon. :)

On a roll.

I suppose being served up as a snack would be worse...

Corn Dog.

It's James I feel sorry for, he would have got the text message and showed up for the date only to find out that his potential shag was dead.

Good little film though, very Final Destination 2. Not as good as the Pizza / Seatbelt advert or the one with the giant elephant in the back seat who head butts his Mum to death but still well done.

Will this stop drivers from sending text messages whilst driving? No, people are selfish idiots.
