A friend of mine named Barclay is a recovering drug addict.
Woo hoo! I'm a dad again :) Page 5
Clay doesn't sound that bad though. I used to have a mate called Clayton, and I called him Clay.
Was he black?
No.

The horribly large dog on Sesame Street was called Barkley. Kenneth would have been a much better name.

Congrats!
Thanks so very much for each and every one of the congratulations and all the comments, (many raised a smile ) appreciated, thank you
We didn't get the water birth we hoped for, (so it proved a waste of time putting me Speedo's on and blowing up the lilo) but never mind hey!
All home and well
A wee pick of Daniel about ½ hour after he was born.
Thanks again
Yeah, commiserations... oh wait, you're actually quite pleased about this!

Gorgeous! I want one, I want one!
I couldn't put my daughter down at all after she was born, she'd just scream so I had to hold and carry her everywhere.

It's nothing to brag about. Most people don't resort to having their children put down.

No, they just give them put downs.
You didn't film the birth and then stick it on YouTube did you? A friend of mine's wife gave birth by caesarian and he filmed it, uploaded it and then sent out the YouTube link! I couldn't watch. Another couple I know filmed the birth of their baby - and didn't post it anywhere (thank Christ) - but plan to show it to their kid in later life! WHY????

Can you imagine how weird it is watching a doctor doing the c-section on you??? It's like a surreal magic show; the little cloth goes up, then a screaming baby being hoisted above it appears as if by magic. Or maybe it was a David Copperfield show I'm thinking off....

Not that weird. When you see pictures of yourself as a baby it's not like seeing yourself, not least because proper memories don't start until later in life. Might be weird seeing your mom in that state, though.
