I'm a fan of point and click adventures (is that right term? I'm not a buff)
Toonstruck
Monkey island
Broken sword
Full throttle
Sam n max
N64 produced some of my favourite console games
Mario 64 (previously mentioned)
Golden eye ('')
That's enough nostalgia for me.
Ha Ha hA...You did notice I said that I "was" partial to busting a red cap in YO assssssssssss!! but now I'd much rather continue with my tapestry set. I find on these cold and lonely nights It's a far better way to unwind and relax. Cheers for the offer though! Fanx
I used to really like Donkey Kong on the snes, I loved the barrels and the runaway minecart levels.
Ai with ya there.
Maybe some kind of online 'cross stitch' comp then not that I'm competitive (or drunk)
My favourite Mario Kart was for the SNES. I owned the N64 and I now own the Wii version.
I just loved the battle modes better on the SNES.
And did someone really mention Atari? Oh well, I loved my C64 it was the shit. I had boxes upon boxes of pirated games. Barbarians III was my favourite.
I loved the Atari 2600 I remember staying up for over 24 hours clocking pacman and not knowing what to do after my score reset back to zero. It also had a game called Gaylords (with paddle controls) but it was a different world back then though.

Mario Kart is my choice as well.
Otherwise I may have bought a PS3 instead of a Wii.
The SNES version was the best,
but the DS & Wii version have overtaken it.
SperMario land on the SNES was great in it's time, and Super Mario 64 on the N64 was quite groundbreaking & brilliant as well.
I did enjoy playing Ratchet & Clank on the PS2 as well, very good game!
Aw. Marc's getting to post all his special links today!
What exactly are the main differences between say the snes version and the wii version of Mario Kart? I'd think with the wireless antenna the controls would be sharper? am I right?
But as it stands for me the snes may have had weaker graphics than the 64 but the playability has never been topped in any other car racing game ever. (And that 64 control stick did nothing for skids and weaves in my opinion!)

That was the thing for me, the N64 version had far superior graphics, but it still wasn't as good as the SNES version because the gameplay was inferior.
The Gamecube version was an improvement, and the later versions have just about got it right.
I still hope they release the original Mario Kart on the Wii virtual console at some stage.
I've just been playing Pilotwings & it's brought back a few good memories of the old days.

Not all. And you're in the next one by the way if you still want to be, but not a dead brass so far.
Pilotwings, was that a fly through hoops game which was one of the first games released on the actual SNES?
I can see why you would say it brought back a "few good memories."
IT WAS SHIT.

Could well have been one of the first SNES games, I downloaded it the other day on the Wii & have been quite enjoying it.
The graphics aren't great, but it's very playable.
It was another one that they souped up for the N64 without making it much better.
