The Academic Hexology Audiobook Series

Myself and my comedy partner of five years James Coard have been making our own show, The James Cotter, James Coard Show between 2005 and the present day. Over the years the show has taken many forums including 15 audio Podcasts, 21 video Podcasts, 8 early radio shows and 20 pre-recorded radio shows recorded for the London based station Xfm 104.9, 6 audiobooks, 7 audiobook previews and 3 audio charity adverts recorded for the shows charity of choice CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

Earlier in the year we embarked on recording The Academic Hexology series which was a series of six audiobooks that we recorded between January to May this year. There were also seven audiobook previews made to accompany the audiobooks that were designed to give listeners, like yourself a opportunity to hear a sneak peak of the then up and coming next audiobook in the series. As of today all six audiobooks and all seven audiobook previews are available to download as MP3's.

Now although I have got lots of feedback on my other more professional projects, this my pet project which is basically designed to amuse me and maybe my comedy partner has never really had the chance for any feedback so I was wondering if any of you could listen to some of the shows and gives us your views.

Hi James

The first link took me to a dating site I think.
Do you have to sign in to anything to hear them?

PS
I thought Dan was your writing partner.
Or does he just act?

Give us a CLEAN download and I'm up for a listen :)

James a small word of advice, probably best giving us a snippet of your work and build up from there.

I tried the third link and got: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

zShare seems to object to not being allowed to show its adverts.

However, I had a quick look at your website where you say of your ideal project:
"The show will have a broad audience appeal and garnish viewers of 7 to 8 million week in week out."

That's some ambition. Good luck!

"The show will ... garnish viewers of 7 to 8 million week in week out."

Is that referring to the viewers dispoosable income?

PaulW's right, post up one and then dribble the rest in so that people don't feel overwhelmed.

Have you sorted out the probs with links yet?

Or does he just act?

Dan is my writing partner for Back to Class and James Coard is my other comedy partner for our show.

Well you don't have to download every audiobook. Just listen to one and if you want more then there available.

That's quite simply a ambition not a goal there's a difference. The 7 or 8 million is just a number plucked out of the air it's not a solid amount. I am a comedy actor and my acting heroes including Arthur Lowe, Dennis Waterman, Robert Lindsay and Chris Barrie to name a few. All of these actors appear or have appeared in shows like my ideal project so I'm just trying to replicate the success of my heroes.

I really do think you have too much going on in here, but that may just be me.

James... have probably said this before but tone down the CV a litle. Send off your stuf to some production companies etc and see what they say.

The website is all a bit David Brent-ish without any sense of irony.

As they say...
Pride is an enemy of art, confidence is its friend.

Stay Confident James.
Just don't be proud about it.

Actually, I was having some gentle fun with your garnish/garner confusion.

Nonetheless, Good Luck!
