Still have a ZX Spectrum with built in tape deck(!) but it doesn't work or it didn't last time I tried anyway.

Also have a Snes, which I occasionally setup and play Mario on :D

I have a snes I get out from time to time for Mario too. Everyone needs that, now and again. I also play theme park on it, even though it's completely shit, its like a comfort thing.

Indeed. Theme Park was fun, but when your money ran out, it became a management sim and I feel asleep. If I'd put the cheat on for $1000000000000000 it would still get boring as you'd run out of rides to build.

Snes yeah I get where you're coming from, but Master System, I've lost all respect. The little that was there...GONE!.

Exactly! The cheat would have been amazing if there was just more variety although I did like spending my money on hundreds of fountains and putting them everywhere. I got a newer version of Theme Park for the P.C many years later and it was even worse. Horrible, cluttered graphics.

To be fair, being poor n all I had to share these with my older brother, but also the benefits (if you look at it that way)was being introduced to games very early on with his gaming systems, so I got to play a whole range of systems and variety of games, and not be trapped in an Amiga world :P

someone search probotector for sega mega drive it goes for about £70 now.

And I gave it to my mate for a chocolate bar when I as about 10

Same here, the PC version felt colder, somehow? I also had and enjoyed Theme Hospital, but that was very near the end of the Snes.

I was never allowed gaming systems when I was young. I used to used Deluxe Paint and Imagine, whilst friends were playing Sonic and Mortal Kombat.

That's a tough question. The games that I have LOVED are:
Kings Quest games for the PC. Especially 5-7 those games gave me a complex.

The beeeeeeeech!

Shining Force 1 and 2 for Sega Genesis

It was my first experience with war strategy games. I never cared too much for Final Fantasy games because I disliked the bump into a bad guy and fight them with numbers thing. I loved Shining Quest because you had to really take your time to strategise.

Speaking of strategy games the game I have probably put the MOST hours of my life into is 'Civilization II". I would miss parties for this game.

Goldeneye for the N64

My first real multiplayer shooter game.

Even so at 6 or 7 I hope I would have had the taste to see that Mario had what alex lacked.

And another note, DEluxe paint was a pretty slick piece of software for the time.

Also, yes GOLDENEYE was indeed boomyliscious in sniper mode!

Aah I feel better now :)

I think I used to play on my mates Nes most of the time, so I got a Mastersystem for variety and it was probably cheaper too.

So It was a sad tale of poverty which led you to it then.

Yes.

Did anyone ever have/play on one of these CD-i. I've never met anyone else that's even heard of it. We had one, but trying to control games with a remote control was friggin' impossible. Then we got a control pad, but the games were too shit to even bother with.

Space Ace was good. BurnCycle looked "cool" but I knew it was just a shitty puzzler underneath. There was also a Spaceship game, where you'd blow up enemies and they'd explode, but not disappear, just hid behind the fire/smoke effect.

Am I alone... alone... alone...
