Adapting comic books doesn't seem to be an easy affair judging by the amount of indifferent films made. I liked the Blade films, especially the second one with Guillermo Del Toro at the helm. Apparently he is signed up to make Dr Strange which was always one of my favourite comics.
Also still enjoy Flash Gordon; cool campy sets, loopy soundtrack from Queen sexy disco outfits and loads of over the top acting, not least of all from Brian Blessed.
Although Judge Dread was a total let down the (pre CGI) Mega City set design and costumes for that film were terrific.
