Oh I see what you mean. That's what your price equates to. Sorry.
But it's still Maths and Litre.

I make it 33p.

Don't forget that there's a difference in gallons between the U.S. and the UK.
*shrug* No idea. Which is which?

Not according to my spellchecker.

An imperial gallon is roughly 4.5 litres. A U.S. gallon is about 3.8 liters.
In that case, it would be around 40p, yes. So people here pay around 3x as much as you.
Quote: bigfella @ August 31 2009, 4:28 PM BSTThat must be why all my neighbours are f**king c**ts then!
And if you're interested I can get you a few traditional lightbulbs - under the counter like, no questions asked!

You've onviously got an American one. You should get a proper one. After all we invented the language.

And we've improved upon it: note the de-Frenchification of the word "liter." Even Aaron should be pleased.
And the de-Frenchification of 'programme' to program. Life is simpler with US spelling. Though Australia persists with British English.
And those "energy saving" globes are a bit dim. And I pay the equivalent of 60 pence per liter for diesel here. And the thylacine is extinct in Tasmania.

Quote: DaButt @ August 31 2009, 6:18 PM BSTWhat's the current cost per liter these days? I paid $2.47/gallon yesterday. If my math is correct, that's 40p per liter.
Same here. I replaced all of the spotlights in my kitchen with CF versions, but it takes a few minutes for them to achieve full brightness.
I think LEDs will be the lights of the future.
Our petrol prices are currently abot £1.05 per litre

One thing not mentioned (?) about these bulbs is that they are a hazardous waste when they finally conk out.
They contain really nasty chemicals in the interior coatings.
They also give off the kind of light formally reserved for canteens and East-German police stations.
I've already bought in about 300 x 100w bulbs - so they can all f**k off (for a while,anyway).
Lazzard in his new suit.
