Doctor Who... Page 327

That would be retarded. The only reason the cybermen were around was because of an alternate universe. Are they really going to reopen that plot?

Well, we've only seen the Cybermen from that alternative universe, not the real originals. I remember Moffat talking about how he likes the 'soldier style' Cybermen of the current run; but that he much prefers the spooky scary cybermen of the sixties, and that those Cybermen are still out there, he's seen them. Or something. So that's a pretty clear indication that when he does the Cybermen, it'll be his prefered take on them. Which will be great, as the dull, plodding soldier Cybermen we've seen so far have been a total waste of a potentially great villain.

Agreed. ;)

With the first New Who Cyberman episode the Cyber Men were crap. The episode it's self was good, alternative universe with 2 Mickeys etc etc.

But the Cybermen themselves were dreadful and as for that awful Christmas special

as for that awful Christmas special

Laughing out loud It was laughable. Laughing out loud

Sufragette powered giant mecha-cyber man is go!

Even the most deranged Manga isn't that crap.
And the infuriating thing was the episode had loads of good actors being wasted.

Indeed. I think David Morrissey was the biggest let down. Not his performance you understand - simply his part in the script.

*shudder* That episode is the main reason it took me so long to get into the new Doctor who. That and the first episode of the first season with those stupid killer manikins.

Lay off the Autons they're the Quebecois of Who villains.

Attention seekers?

Just because they're rubbish and unbelievable doesn't mean they should be ignored.

Moore eyes Doctor Who role

Bond legend Sir Roger Moore is vying for a guest spot on Doctor Who - after learning his 007 protege Timothy Dalton has landed a part in a forthcoming Christmas special. Skip related content

Dalton, who took over the reigns from Moore in 1987 to play the suave superspy in The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill, is set to appear in the cult sci-fi show as the mysterious character The Narrator in December.

After hearing his replacement was to star in the show, Moore has offered himself up to play Dalton's father.

He says, "I believe Timothy is to appear in one of the new episodes, so if they ever want anyone to play his dad, I'm available."

*raises eyebrow*

I've done that at the comic book store between my nerd posse and the manager of the comic book store and his posse over a gaming system and Star Wars.
There was a lot of snapping of fingers and "OOooooooh!!!!" being thrown around. It wasn't a pretty site.
