Doctor Who... Page 326

Or it could be just a rehersal. Still, I'm excited.

That actually sounds terrible... I hate the way he draws out the word 'Dalek' ...

It certainly does. Makes Sylvester McCoy sound like Tom Baker.

Well, I'll be waiting until I see an episode before passing any kind of judgement.

That actually sounds terrible but I suppose it is only a clip taken by someone on some stairs nearby. I hate the way he draws out the word 'Dalek' but again, I suppose it'll be alright when we know the context in which it is used.

Oh f**k no! No f**k no! NO MORE FUCKING DALEKS YOU BBC LAZY WANKERS!

God Zygons, Rhutans even the Murkha. But no f**king, cliched, plunger waving shit bag Daleks.

They are boring and totally gay.

even the Murkha.

Heh! I watched Warriors of the Deep a few days ago. It seems to be rated as the worst Who story of the Peter Davison era, partly due to the Myrka. Entertaining DVD commentary and special features though.

I suspect now that they stipulate the Daleks must appear every series. They've certainly lost their appeal after a promising start when the series was brought back, but that's down to sticking them in poor stories. All it takes is the right writer to pen the right script for them and I'll be back on board.

Mr Moffat; remember how cool, frightening and unstoppable that lone pepper pot seemed in Dalek? More of that please.

I just feel that Daleks and Cybermen have had their day. Yes, bring them back for one good story every now and then but not every series.

Indeed. The Daleks appeared (as main villains, not counting brief flashbacks) in only two Tom Baker serials and one Peter Davison serial. Similarly, the Cybermen were in only one Tom Baker serial and two Peter Davison serials.

I totally agree. I on the other hand LOVE Daleks and Cybermen but think its totally done PLEEEEASE BBC give us some new bad guys to torment our beloved Doctor.
So many of the new villains have been crap though. :(
The Beast from that space episode and the Weeping Angles were pretty bad ass.
But for those there are a million crap ones like the Slitheen and those cut fat monsters.

I believe the Weeping Angels are back in the new series. So, that's the Daleks that are back, and the Weeping Angels and there is a nasty rumour going around (on digitalspy mainly) that the Cybermen are back too - I'll only believe that when I see it (although it wouldn't surpise me if they were).

Is there any time left for new aliens/monsters in the next series? :D

That would be retarded. The only reason the cybermen were around was because of an alternate universe. Are they really going to reopen that plot?

Albiet well they'll be proper hard as nails Cybermen from mother f**king Mondas.

That would be cool. I would be up for them to brought back as the original cybermen.

Yeh neck breaking karate chops on hapless extras, the Dr being rude to them and of course vulnerability to Gold.

He could team up with Mr T and Ali G.
