Nay, nay and thrice nay.

:|

Difficult audience. :(

Anyone know what happened with Kings of Leon tonight? Looked miserable/pissed off throughout their Reading set, then asked BBC Three not to show the end of it? What's up with that?

Gutted about Noel. Why does Liam have to be such a twat!

I thought they were really good. But even I noticed the sound was a bit duff at the start.

And Oasis are always going to be at each others throats. Maybe Noel doesn't really need Liam.

Or maybe they're both c**ts?

Correct, but they make good songs so.

Come on. IF you had a cricket bat and were only allowed one swipe - which brother would you go for? I'd still be there trying to decide.

Lets face it they're both ugly, cocky bastards.

Tim, sketch writing you say? What kind of theme are you going for? I'd be v. interested in reading some of your stuff, if not sniffing it.

Oh, I write various types of old bollocks. I'm getting a bunch of stuff together for my agent to send off for the A&M/M&W next TV series. Some are re-writes from sketches that were written for shows which never got commissioned. I'll gladly send you a batch in a week or so when I've finished writing and drafting them.

Wrote a behind-the-scenes M&W sketch the other day on the idea of David having been recruited as a "sleeper" spy whilst at Cambridge. I've got a visual sketch about Isaac Newton and the infamous apple which is an idea that should have been done before, but (I've checked) hasn't. I've one about an agent who only retains his client because he has a good name for newspapers to make punning headlines about. One about homosexuality with Mr Men. And, oh, lots of things. My love of the Big Train style of sketch probably shines through, though I try to write the more traditional types too.

Excellent. Especially keen on the Agent one, sounds good.

Whenever I'm asked to describe my style (and I can't runaway). I always say, have you seen Big Train? And they instantly get it OR they say What the f**ks that? Just give me your wallet before I knife you.

I'm also a big fan of keeping it traditional. In fact, you've described my style or what I aim for so well, I think we should y'know, do something, sometime, maybe? I have some very old smelly avatars you could sniff Smarmy

Well, as I say, I'll bung you over some sample sketches for you to have a sniff at. Just got to hack some of the fat off them and polish the comedy gold underneath. One of the old ones I've dusted off (and which I'm slightly pleased with) is about the latest fashionable pet in Hollywood - the Traditional Old English Dad. (It all makes sense when you read it. Errr)

A&M

?

I'll look forward to it :)

I'd show you some of my stuff, but I have nothing new at the moment :( Apart from a half arsed attempt at the sitcom trials.

Armstrong & Miller.

Oooh, good luck Tim (with both).

Yes, best of luck Tim. I'd rather enjoy a decent sketch on either show :D
