What are you watching on TV? Page 913

Because the original Descent is one of my favourite horror movies. The ending is particularly brilliant and disturbing. But now there's a sequal; the trailer just looks like it's a shitty American horror that's trying to replicate the first one.

What scares once, is very hard to replicate a second time around

Ah, yes. Lot of that about.
The first one was rather scary, I agree.

The end of the first one; she doesn't get out. The second one, they find her, rescue her, take her to a hospital, and then take her back down the same cave. Insanely bollocky

Giggety giggety goo.

Ah. A bit like Aliens.

Kind of.

And another thing I just watched on tele was a trailer for film 4 showing Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

It's a franchise I despise, alongside all Rob Zombie movies. He's bastardised the Halloween film

The New Statesman

Just stumbled upon Confessions From A Holiday Camp (1977) on Comedy Central Extra Whatever... Haven't seen this one before. Even by the standards of the Confessions... series this is jaw-droppingly terrible. :O

Is that the one with all the Golum's at the bottom of that cave?

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Sparky the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a top horror film. Granted all the remakes have been bilge but the original 1 was good.

Well maybe it becomes a franchise after a sequel is released? The first one is OK, its name is probably all it has going for it really. The end bit where he dances with the chain saw is quite a pretty cinematic image, but the rest is just an average 70s horror.

Milan v Inter. Inter winning 3-0 and Gatuso sent off.

He wanted to come off injured but the substitute wasn't ready.

So he stayed on, did a bad tackle and got sent off. He was a little bit annoyed with his own team.

Doctor Who--Series 1 Lovey

Why can't we make good shows like this??

Is that series 1, as in the original series 1 or the new series 1? Neither answer will make much difference to me...

And you do make good shows, two of my current favourite in fact, Dexter and True Blood. They are awesomeness.

Yes, but most Americans will never see them as they are on premium cable. New Doctor Who, by the way. Not everyone's cup of tea, so to speak, but I like it. I can watch with my son and not have to send him out of the room for naughty bits.

We do pay for the BBC, but I wouldn't call that a premium channel. Errr

Have you ever seen Primeval? A rival channels answer to Dr Who? I only just caught up with it (I think it's been axed now lol) But it's good fun too. Still need to watch the last series though.
