Heeeeeeellz yea! I'll some times make Dino Riders jokes and no one ever gets it. I'll be like "You know Dino Riders?! They put mind control devices on their dinosaurs and rode them? Doctor Claw did the voice for the badguy!"
Quote: Gavin @ August 28 2009, 5:43 PM BSTI applied for a job with them guys love Reboot. They do loads of cool stuff now
That's cool Gavin! Would you have had to move to Canada for it?
Still sometimes sit and watch Spongebob Squarepants, Drake and Josh... with my youngest. And do enjoy
Used to watch (with my eldest when growing up) Pinky and the Brain, Oggy and the Cockroaches, Cow and Chicken (love that), Ed, Edd and Eddy...
Used to love the likes of Tom and Jerry, all Looney Toons, Battle of the Planets, He-Man, Banana Splits, Y Don't You, Rentagost, Stig Of The Dump, Jonny Briggs...
I could go on.
We have a bootleg copy of Dino Riders...awesomely bad!
Quote: Robert D @ August 28 2009, 4:35 PM BSTNow, usually I would complain but I found Charlie and Lola quite amusing and am currently finding certain parts of Squarepants funny. Do we all experience this or am I just sad?
Yes, this is a normal experience. Earlier this month I had to look after two small children (aged 3 and 5) and did not find the new Mr Men DVDs too difficult to watch (even though the names and designs of some of the characters have been changed for this newest version). Catchy music too. Shaun The Sheep and Peppa Pig were also reasonably easy viewing and didn't require too much thinking. Likewise, nothing wrong with Spongebob (David Bowie was a guest voice once) or Charlie & Lola, but beware of a Heidi cartoon on DVD. Torture, but the kids loved it. They really started living when I introduced them to The Goodies, which was subsequently banned by their American mother on the grounds of being "age inappropriate".
Near enough all the American made for TV cartoons that came out when I was a kid were absolutely dire. It was the dark era after the adult audience for The Flintsones and Top Cat had drifted away, and kids did not have enough spending power to justify the cost of animation, so we got cheap, witless fare like Scooby Doo and Captain Caveman. Pretty much any kids cartoon made since 1990 is a classic by comparison.

Quote: Curt @ August 28 2009, 4:58 PM BSTYup definitely didn't get that one. The only Canadian kids shows I can think of was Reboot. I loved that cartoon especially the last season.
Oh my bollocks! I remember that show! It was amazing I found the graphics really detailed for the time.
Ah Curt you're bring back memories!

I certainly would they're based in Vancouver. They are called Rainmaker, formerly Mainframe.
Anyone else looking at the Rentaghost picture posted above and thinking it looks like a dodgy porn advert, seriously, take out the word 'Rentaghost' and replace it with the words 'Swedish Sex Fantasies' and suddenly, you'll get a Claypole.

Audrey Roberts is looking rather pleased with herself, though the pic of Mr Meeker makes it look like there's a torture porn element - though his 'tache is spot on.
