BT home hub

Ahhh.

It's driving me made.

I have two phone lines in my house.

My land line and my broadband.

The broadband has a phone on the white hub box thing. It has a number that I can ring out from. But we have never used it for reciving calls.

Untill now - I wanted to give someone a different number so I knew who was calling. Anyway - I tried to ring the number myself and it doesn't ring. I hear it ringing on the phone but the handset doesn't ring.

It clicks on the BT message thing and I can leave a message which I can then dial 1571 and get.

Anyone got any clues to get this bloody phone ringing?

Might there be settings on the Home Hub control panel? URL to access it is probably on a sticker on the back of the thing.

I had this issue. There are settings on the main phone you have to have a fiddle with to make it ring.

If you still have problems you can always console yourself with the slightly older and posher sexy woman whose been around the block.

Yeah I had a look at that - its asks for a PIN number and then press the button on the hub? What button on the hub?

I spent half an hour on thep hone to BT last night - being past around and then the arse cuts me off.

I have never in all my life worked with a worse company than BT!!!

I refuse to talk to them.... my name is STILL spelt wrong on my bill and I can't understand the call centre people! My housemate does all the calling because I end up shouting in frustration.

Hmmm... I'd have to check my machine out later for you... and I've never been asked for a pin! Errr

I think your probably being bugged. Are you or have you ever been part of a militia group that hated the UK?

As does my wife! She ends up swearing and tells them to stop reading their f**king script!

Its all very odd. I don't understand why it rings but doesn't and then I pick up the message I left for myself!!!

I'm not a very angry person - but BT make me angry!

Glad you finally got that sorted...

India?

Yes :)

India?

Normally. :(

I really f**king hate that. It's difficult enough understanding Sky, and their call centres are only in Glasgow.

I can't understand any accents, Indian, Scottish, Irish. Am useless.
Is one of the smaller reasons I despise talking on the telephone.
