The General General Reality TV Show Thread.

I've looked and I can't see a General, General Reality TV Show Thread.

I have a love / hate relationship with Reality TV Shows. They are totally trashy, but compelling viewing.

My recent dirty secret is 'I Love New York'. I know I shouldn't, and it's 'everything that's wrong in the world', but I can't help it, I love it!

So, what's your guilty Reality TV secret?

Come, sit on AngieBaby's sofa and confess!...

Nope - sorry. Totally unjustifiable. There is nothing in reality TV that is entertaining in any way - except Strictly Come Dancing.

I watch a lot of this stuff. Keeping in real.

Come Dine With Me and any of the cop things are among my guilty pleasures. Also Seaside Rescue and that thing about the rat catchers. :D And probably more too. :$

Plus BB obviously. :$

Get with the Game.
I'm watching 'I love New York' 2
I think that's what you meant anyway.
:D

I have happily managed to extricate myself from watching Big Brother, but I don't mind I'm a celebrity' when it's on.
And I'll probably watch a few bits of the X factor.

Ooh I like that one where they catch the Rats as well.

Apart from that, what was the question again?

OMG! The Rat Pack, they are fantastic!

and I quite fancy the 2 brothers, and the little Jack Russell is soooo cute.

OMG! I'm weird!

As far as I can recall, I've never watched an entire episode. The premise is often good, but the intentionally ugly personal interactions and clique-building ruin everything for me.

Survivor, for example. I'd love to watch a bunch of people actually survive off the land in the middle of the jungle or something. Why ruin it by forming tribes, booting people off the show and having them do stupid stunts in order to win a slice of pizza?

I don't mind Wife Swap
:D Whistling nnocently

Incredibly low rent bunch of celebs on Strictly this time round. Not being much of a sports fan or soap watcher, the only names I could put faces to were the Oxo mum and the cricket stoner. For prime time on the Beeb that's shit. No that I would dream of watching anyway, but even so...

Oh yeah, I watch that too. And the early stages of The X Factor, with the numpties, before it gets serious.

:D I enjoy The Life Of Grime when it was on too. Mr Trebus! :D Sick

:D They just look like a couple of chancers though don't they?! Especially the younger one. :D

I recognised one of the Roads they go to, and I'm sure they must hate me at number 18 as I keep peering into their garden whenever I pass by (which is a lot less often than I used to)

Had rats?! He travelled by rat! Like the rat king! :D I remember him clambering over those bin bags full of shit into this little hole in which he slept. Sad. He looked well happy when he actually moved into the old peoples home.

Then he died. :|

Ah now that was fantastic telly. Quite like slices of real life like that (okay, I know there is some artifice), it is the programmes with the celebs and the want-to-be-celebs and the want-to-be-celebs- who-now-are-celebs and the I-don't-know-who-the-f**k-any-of-these-people-are-but-they-are-supposed-to-be-celebs that get my goat.

I like "Cake Boss".

I can't get enough of that dudes crazy cakes.

And 'Mantracker':

The dude is so badass!

Yeah, but I notice most of their clients are young women. Nothing us girls like more than a man that can deal with mice and stuff ;)

Yeah, I know what you mean.

But I still do BB, I want to see it through to the end. And I don't vote, or bother reading about them after they've left. In fact, it annoys me if I see them after.

I watched one recently on Five about Oil Riggers, that was pretty good too.
