I was just watching Bell Bottom George with George Formby when half way through up poppped a young Charles Hawtrey.

Very interesting.

I have a brilliant book about cutting your own hair at home somewhere illustrated with photos of a little girl who they make look a young Charles Hawtrey.

Boots Boots with George Formby also features Coronation Street's Betty 'hoptpot' Driver.

Few will want to know that but just in case there you go.

I'm a bit iffy about the Carry On films. I've seen a few and they've all been rather a bit tedious, but I did love Carry On Screaming. Camping was alright, but I did think Up The Khyber was overrated.

You love On the buses but don't like the Carry on films. Oh well!

On the Buses is an accurate description of working class life and I can relate to many of the characters in it.
Not a big fan of Are you Being Served? I've never seen a Confessions movie, but the great cast the Confessions films seem to have is tempting me to see one.

You mean you've never seen them? Where have you been? Oh yes - Manchester.

That and the tits.

That and the tits.

You mean like Kenneth Williams, Frankie Howerd and Charles Hawtrey.

Personality wise they were a strange bunch of characters weren't they.

AFAIK they weren't in any of the Confessions series.

They were that all right.

And the good old fashioned pubes lol.

My favourite is Carry On Spying followed closely by Carry On Abroad*.

*I think that's the one where the hotel falls apart towards the end. ;)

I prefer the early black and white ones.I think Sergeant (or is it Constable) and Regardless are my faves.

He's also in a couple of Will Hay films, The Ghost of St. Michael's being one.

*checks Wikipedia* Actually, he's in four. All earlier that Bell Bottom George. :)

I'm a big fan of WIll Hay. Might just watch a DVD this afternoon!
