I don't like my OSs to be too fast. I like the few seconds rest my wrist gets in between changing tabs and windows.

Filth.
That's chips!
Oh, wait. It's not.
W7 looks great, I'm upgrading ASAP, if you're a vista user you get a free upgrade anyway
I read the pros and cons, and to be honest the cons are knit picking!
Can't wait for upgrade day

Not necessarily! Only if you bought Vista since ... 1st July or something.

Balls... I'll wait till a mate at a pub gets a "Copy"
It's pretty cheap to pre-order, Paul. But best to download yourself than rely on a friend.

My upgrade copy of the upcoming OS X release is legit and only cost me $29. No activation, serial number, Windows Genuine "Advantage" or necessity for a clean install.

I guess we're talking about US vs. Canadian dollars here, since the box set is $169. You could probably buy a legit 10.5 disc for $100 or less and then get the $29 upgrade. But since the OS isn't serialized, you can just "borrow" a friend' disc if you're feeling
So Vista is consigned to become the equivalent of Millennium Edition, while 7 will become the new XP? Hurrah.

I have 10.5.8 currently.
I've got a battered old laptop with Windows 98 on. But it can only be opened at very acute angles otherwise it cuts out and the screen goes black. You have to have it on top of something tall and then crouch down so you can see the screen. I don't use it much.

So that means the upgrade for Curt will cost 1.4 million dollars.

I don't think I could cope with that. I love a nice clean install.
