Not a phrase I'm familiar with, what does it mean? And is it from this that we get 'being in an egg' ?

*Tyrannosaurus
Well you've been there before, and I have not. You would know the spelling.
But, I am going at the weekend, did I mention it?

I wouldn't do that, if you fall on your front you'll have an L shaped cock.

No, I have already fallen off, and I landed on a slinky...
I am now impotent.

If that thing got loose it would be total carnage.
Good job it's lightly nailed down then.

A thought just struck me r.e. this thread. As most of you are writers I was wondering if you southern peole would write something set in the north, and if so would you make an atmept to make it authentic or would it matter? I am writing something set in London, however I have decided I would probably ruin the piece if I started trying to emphasise the southern-ness of it all.

Write what you want and set it where you like. It's people people care about not accents. Even more so than spelling.
Tell people something they don't know even though they thought they did.
Vince Powell and Harry Driver were from Manchester, and set all but 3 or 4 of their shows in/around London.
Of course they were mostly on contract to Thames...

But they probably lived in London. If anything I try to avoid setting things in London as I get the impression more regional settings are sought.

They certainly lived in the south east. IIRC Vince had a flat overlooking the Thames for a while after a marriage break up, but not sure of where they lived otherwise.

Especially if it's mostly concerning jellied eels and chimney sweeps...
I'm not sure the appropriate level of realism's going to come across.
Carla Lane wrote Butterflies, which was probably set in the South East.
