Fletcher or Arkwright?

With Ronnie Barker bringing both of them to life, Fletcher and Arkwright have both proved to be popular characters in British comedy, but at the end of the day, which one is best?

It's got to be Fletch for me!

Fletch for me too. Fantastic!

Fletcher!

But love them both.

Fletcher wins because he is a very clear winner. If that's clear. Reading it back it's not.

Poor old Arkwright can't seem to win at the things that matter.

Although I do use Arkwright to try to teach my sales staff to sell more.

Porridge was the better show for sure, but in terms of the characters and the performances there's not much to choose between them. It is difficult to imagine any other actor, then or now, doing half as well in either role, except, perhaps, curiously, Barker's protege, David Jason, who of course appeared in both

Fletcher!

Arkwright for me!

I like both shows but Open All Hours just edges it for me.

Fletcher hands down.

Fletcher hands down.

And spread your legs?

:O

You have the right to remain witty and lovable. Anything you can say and will say will be hilarious.

:$

Um, yeah. Sure. Errr

Teary But I've already told my mum I have a friend to play cars with! :(
