I am currently seeking comedy sketch material which reflects the British gay experience (male and female). You don't have to be gay to write this material, although it might help. Very vague plans at the moment are to put together a stage show in London, with an eye on Edinburgh 2008. But first we need sketches, monologues and songs, so please send us your stuff.
What we are looking for: anything which fits the description "British gay experience". Your material doesn't have to absolutely focus on being gay and we don't want 200 "coming out" sketches, but it should be an element. We have made no decisions so far about recurring characters, pace, tone, or style. We want to see what's out there first. It just has to be funny is all.
The small print.
By sending us your stuff, you grant us permission to use it in future shows, and to rewrite it however we see fit. Anyone who contributes to a show will get a credit and should there ever be any money, a fair division of the spoils. If we reject your material, then all rights revert back to you. It may be that more than one person submits a similar idea. If you can't handle that possibility, please don't submit anything at all.
Let the floodgates open. Submissions please to ninebobnote@the-spontaneity-shop.com
Cheers
