Jam & Jerusalem - Series 3 Page 7

To quote myself from the David Mitchell thread -

'...now he's on some piece of crap Vicar of Dibley thing (it's even got Dawn French in it) called Jam and Jerusalem.

A load of quirky middle class characters who live in a village. Who could have come up with such an original idea for a show? They must be some kind of brainiac geniusoid from Planet Mirth.'

If I was a white middle class, middle aged woman on the verge of the menopause, I'd think Jam and Jerusalem was the second coming. I'm not, so I don't.

Last nights episode was heart-warming once again! Here's hoping we get a fourth series!

Shockingly funny end to the series, I thought. Was laughing quite a bit in the final half hour.

I'd quite like to see another series now I think, but I don't approve of it continuing to have the sitcom label.

Very much enjoyed it. Funny, warm, nice.

I enjoyed this. Nice sunday night viewing. I agree it doesn't quite justify the label of sitcom, but it is still funny and has very good performances so I think I'd like to see another series.

Evolution, maybe, not revolution. From the theatrical to the single camera. I watched a George Formby film today and really enjoyed it as a snapshot of the times, the comedy may be perceived as naff nowadays but I laughed out loud and am really pleased I watched it - a social and comedy documentary of attitudes and values that were actually pretty good. Let's hope it turns out nice again.

I'd have loved to have watched it. If only I'd been awake. Angry

Lol. It was in the afternoon and I really liked it. Not Will Hay great but like I say a real snapshot of English values and a sense of England in 1943 and the little man against the might of the threat from Germany, and we know we won but in 43 it was all very different, they didn't know that then - but look at the optimistic humour. Silly but so what. I laughed out loud here and there and not in an ironic post modern way.
