I need a low calorie diet, so I'm glad to hear that.
But seriously, I shall check the Becks out.

In Tesco they sell a bottle six pack for about £3.
Michelob is a low carb drink and it's alcoholic, so win win...
Quote: Tim Walker @ August 20 2009, 1:59 PM BSTBecks is very good, tastes just like normal lager without the alcohol. Kaliber is pretty much as shit as it always was. Cobra is good and there's a Bavarian one that's sold in supermarkets which is different but pretty good as well.
Sounds like you have the same no-alcohol "beers" as we do. Disappointing, since I'd hoped that UK breweries might make a tastier version.
I've never had one that I truly enjoyed, but the best I've tried is Buckler. There are still two bottles in my fridge left over after a friend's visit almost 2 years ago. I've never had the urge to drink them.

I'll get some tonight.
A rather uninteresting anecdote I have about myself, Tim Walker and beer is this:
I remember as I was leaving the first BSG meet that Tim started berating me for leaving a 1/3 of a pint in a glass. I then downed it to save face in front of him and Seefacts.
My dad found the alcohol-free lager led him back onto the booze, so he just drinks Red Bull and strong coffee all day. Occasionally I take him some strong ginger beer. His taste buds are completely f**ked.

Bloody hell, you know you've hit rock bottom when you're trying to save face in front of Dr Tim and Seefacts!
On Friends Reunited on my school message board one girl solely remembered me for getting her drunk on Thunderbird. She was in the year above me. It's a weird thing to be remembered for.

Did I? Oh. Still, I stand by my methods. I'm sure you felt better for doing it.
Any smokers on this website? I gave up a long time a go, but still want one every now and again.

*coughs*
Gave up completely years and years ago. Started again (though very occasionally) recently.

Ahh a social smoker, good man. You actually get an urge afterwards though?
Quote: Ben @ August 20 2009, 1:56 PM BSTWhat does alcohol free beer taste like?
I could never get into it. There was never enough body for my liking; it seems the alcohol is integral to my enjoyment of beer, which is a pity, because I often fancy beer for breakfast, but I don't fancy the consequences much.

I've done that in Vegas many times with no ill effects. When I worked the night shift, too.

My buddies two German roommates used to do that every morning. And they were downing Guinness to boot, while I eat my cereal in awe.
