Exam results - is the reporting of them sexist? Page 3

Personally I hate that squeeley girl footage they show as excitable youngsters collect their results. When did everyone start getting hysterical? Like on Big Brother and TV talent shows. And the thing I really hate is when someone is crying when being filmed (I've never seen it in real life) and they wave their hand infront of their eyes - what's that all about?

It also scares me when I see the footage before I've got my own results. :(

But being a reasonable young woman, I'm sure you didn't squeal hysterically. :)

Nope. My daddy cried though.

Better than ones who have a go at you for not doing better. Huh?

:$ He was stood very far from school so it was a bit "Daddy, my daddy!" a la The Railway Children because he asked what I got and I ran to tell him. :$

:D

I used to (still occasionally do) have to find my dad in pubs, break up fights, play a game of pool with him and have a few drinks before I could get home for dinner, whilst being berated for being English.

Run? I have this rule you see, never ever run for any reason (unless of call of imminent death is heard). Pleased

At least they reacted! Mine told me to go and buy some milk.

Laughing out loud

My Dad has done the photos for these sort of things loads of times. He says that the photos are inevitably girls because they react more which is a better picture, how is that sexist?

I like to see all those optimistic youngsters smiling and laughing on getting their results, especially since on graduation, 1 in 3 of them will end up without a graduate-level job.

Glad to see that the Weasley brothers passed their exams.
