Thanks Tim, I'd never heard that used before.

Burnley 1 Man Utd 0

................

Newcastle United 1 - 0 Sheffield Wednesday :D

Birmingham 1-0 Portsmouth R
Burnley 1-0 Man Utd R
Hull 1-5 Tottenham R
Liverpool 4-0 Stoke FT

Don't know the difference between R and FT though.

Well, we (Arsenal) might have had two soft goals last night, but Celtic had absolutely nothing to offer against us. I didn't realise Scottish football had got this bad. This was, to be honest, less of a test than Arsenal would normally get away to a lower half of the table team in the Premiership. (And where was the roar of this famous Celtic support? Unless the ground was terribly mic-ed up then the support for the home team for such a game was pathetic.)

I watched that match last night. Tony Cascarino summed it up perfectly (it was live on RTE 3, surprise surprise) when he mentioned that Celtic's turnover is 75 million and Arsenal's is 210 million. Therein lies the reason why the English Premier league is streets ahead of the Scottish league. Rangers and Celtic would struggle in the Premiership as they haven't got the funds.

I think we're going slightly off topic talking about Scotland.
What was the Burnley score again?

Watched the match tonight fellers, was an embarrasment, but these things happen. Burnley obviously raised there game- there first ever premiership home match for a team who are famous for beating top four teams. They played well, United didn't, these things happen, roll on Wigan on Saturday I say.

The result may have left Sir Alex a bit red faced.
But Man Utd are notoriously slow starters.

Last season they didn't so much win it as others blew it - and I'm not saying that in a bitter way.

Not the first time that's happened either.
I remember when Man U took a Dump in the FA cup & went off to Brazil for the world Money champions cup.
None of the other top teams could put two results together while they were gone.

I thought Sir Alex was always red faced.
