Ahh King of the Hill - no doubt there's a thread somewhere but I loved that show. Haven't seen it in ages.
Yep yep yep.
Boomhauer (on the left in that picture) always reminds me of Mr Dagger.

Sorry for my whinging last night. I just get like that sometimes. I woke up this morning a happier person. I'm tidying my place out today and then it is Match of the Day at 10.00, so will hopefully be in better spirits tonight.

Malt whisky? I probably can still afford to go down the pub and do. F**k it I say. You only live once. I just put in a little financial back up like a free overdraft facilty and go out with my mates. For instance. I'm going to Manchester to see the cricket the BCG bash followed by Birmingham with mates end of August/September. Now if I thought about it I wouldn't go. So I don't and nothing nasty has happened to me...yet
I don't drink anymore. The only thing I really miss is babycham which I do sneak but very rarely. I'm not an alcholic or anything, it's just I wasn't a big drinker before and now I have to take medication, it's mostly off limits.
Mmm pub
I've just picked up an extra gig tonight so I think I will pop to the pub on my way home.
I love pub.

They had a few bottles at the beer store I visited last night. It was the first time I'd ever seen it for sale in the States.
Our pubs around here are dives. Really really scummy. The good ones charge way too much for their drinks, thereby keeping out the riff raff.

For over a decade, I went to the pub every single night of the week, with the exception of some all-nighters in the office to meet deadlines and three nights in hospital. Alcohol was my greatest expenditure, more than rent, transport and food. I quit drinking (and smoking) a couple of years ago and don't really miss it.
I gave up alcohol for three years and it wasn't a struggle.
I still go to the pub, mainly to eat as my locals have pretty good dining rooms, or for meetings or when I'm at college. But I'm probably spending more than I can actually afford.

That's pretty accurate; we are in Texas, after all. But we sit on folding chairs and women participate in the festivities.

Yes but the thing is, I only drink one night a week anyway. Possibly might do Friday and Saturday every now and then. I work hard all week and like a night out in the pub at the weekend, but I just can't afford it anymore.
Lucky pints haven't got to £3 where I am, in a local wetherspoons does a pint of coors for £1.89 but everywhere else tends to be about £2.50
So I can't complain too much, but it's still a lot thought, when I was in college I was going to the pub 4 - 5 times a week, now I make it twice tops!

Yep......ummmhum..........yup............
As a skint teenager I'd drink before going out and then only had to buy a few drinks at the pub. But girls get drinks bought for them too.
I also often have a hipflask with me too with a nice drop of whisky. Then I only have to buy a coke.

The last time I did that I just swigged neat bourbon all night. This led to me getting chucked out of a club. Due to my bourbon induced stupor, I'd decided to go behind the bar and start pouring myself a pint. >_<

It's always very cheap out your way. I remember going to Nottingham and thinking "£2.50 at the most for a pint?!".
I tend to go to my local pub every evening at about five thirty for a hour or so with the daily Mail crossword (I know but the crossword is good) Being cooped up on my own all day avoiding work is my excuse. I am planning to cut back maybe during the week. But I do enjoy it and it gives her indoors some quality time to prepare my tea
