I get Soul Ache.

Ah... Soul ache.

Yes that's probably what it is with me. I feel pretty comfrtabel wlecoming you into my sufferers group.

That's easy for you to say.

I get mentally-knackered it's true. And no, the brain isn't a muscle but it can be overworked like any other part of the body. I sometimes work so long in solitude at the computer that I forget how to speak properly. Seriously. I used to have a stammer when I was a kid and it comes back a bit when I've not spoken out loud much for a few days. Then it disappears again when I've been to a couple of meetings or a night out or whatever.

I've also lost the power of the written word. I hold a pen in my hand so rarely nowadays that I can't handwrite for more than 20 seconds without getting cramp in my thumb muscle.

Laughing out loud Oh dear. Very similar here too.

This is very comforting. I also do have a thing where if I have written for a long perido I end up struggling to think of the correct words to say.
but I am still pretty sure the brain is a muscle of someone kind. I think I saw it on the american TV when they were advertising those brain training kits.

Yeah, because American infomercials are known world-over for their honesty and scientific accuracy... :/

What do you care about scientific accuracy? You hate science like it's a black person.

Hmmmm.

The more you think the more it is easier so do to. In the same way that you can train muscles through exercise, so also you can train your brain through mental exercise and stimulus. Avoid daytime television.

Avoid daytime television.

Especially Doctors. It's responsible for more national brain slippage than any other programme since the war.

I think that there's at least one typo there...

Not a typo but do and to the wrong way round!

Like my Do-To list.

I think 'mental exhaustion' is a fair description. I counter this by changing activities and locations periodically - normally when I feel a block coming on. It doesn't seem to happen when you're on a roll, so perhaps Seb is thinking too long and hard.
