Do you get brain ache?

By saying this I imagine I am leaving myself wide open to be accussed of being thick, however I believe myself to be suffering from brain ache, having had a few days of writing non stop. I was wondering if any other BCGers suffered from this condition and if so is it after a few days of writing. I had a teacher who accussed people of having brain ache if they gave a wrong answer in class, however I can see now this was pure ignorance on her part and feel I am pretty courageous in admitting to suffering from this condition.

I generally refer to headaches as brain ache, so yes.

But no to your definition.

My writing usually gives me arse ache.

No I wouldn't class me and my people as headache sufferers. I mean when the muscle of your brain feels knackered. It doesn't particulalry hurt.

The Brain isn't a muscle, but you can probably think too much, or have a mental block, or any number of things.
Best to go away & do something else, preferably think about nothing.

I don't get brain ache. I get finger ache.

I'm sure I read about it being a muscle. See my brain ache is making me imagine wierd shit.

If you're looking at a computer monitor for hours at a time, then this can mess with your head - especailly if you are trying to do something creative.

You can lose judgement, get fatigued and generally feel like crap. This isn't limited to writers though, but being the artsy fairy types that we am, we will attribute it to ourselves primarily.

Yes, I suppose it isn't just for writers but I guess that being creative might contribute to the head being messed with. In truth it's not that the brain goes wierd it's just it feels like tired and it's like I have to really battle on.

If you're putting stress on yourself to write consistently funny material, then you have to factor that in as well.

Luckily for me, I am so wonderfully humourous and imaginative, that everything I come out with his hilariously funny, including taking a shit. (No else on the bus was laughing though - philistines!)

Laughing out loud

I guess it could be me putting preasure on myself but normally it is only after I have done a good day's worth of writing that I get my unique medical condition.
I'm convicned there are other sufferers who are just too ashamed to reveal themselves.

When I completed NaNoWriMo I felt knackered. Was that brain ache?

I feel brain ached after teaching computers all day. Other subjects not so much though.

I can't say it is brain ache but when I work for long hours (especially work that puts so much pressure on brain) I feel something uncomfortable with my head.

Yes that's probably what it is with me. I feel pretty comfrtabel wlecoming you into my sufferers group.
