I like using cups measurement

6'1. And I've put on 20 pounds since got married back in May.

I thought you'd use fractions.
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ August 11 2009, 12:56 PM BSTI don't think girls would laugh at all. Most women believe (rightly or wrongly) that they're overweight themselves.
my girlfriend is like that 8 stone wet-threw and says she can't put on weight to save her life and she's fat!... I hate it!
She's 5 foot 5 too.

Why? What would the British use....pebbles?

Haha, you have no need to impress anymore you have her

There has to be some type of compensation for all the money spent on that day.

No we use weight in either oz or grammes, rather than volume. My sister sent me a recipe book from the States and it's uses 'cups' but never says how big the cup is supposed to be.
Quote: chipolata @ August 11 2009, 12:56 PM BSTIf you don't mind me asking, bigfella, how did you get so big in the first place? Were you big from a child, or did it creep up on you in adulthood?
There is a quality book coming out soon ( God willing ) that will tell you all about it.
In short.
Got stutter at nine - picked on - starting eating in secret.
Got worse over teenage years - espically when I spilt up with girlfiend, had A-levels, and step mum died of cancer.
Found Beer at Uni, Fizzy pop, the pizza shop and tesco's
When stressed ( all the time - course too hard for me, should have done Geography) - I turned to my friend, my rock, my comfort - food.
Still played American football at Uni - training 6 days a week, fit as f**k but about 25 stone!
Left uni - work, no internet then so had to work, no excerise and heavy drinking culture. Also found garages sold food so could eat on way home and then have tea!!!
Lost a bit then.
Found a lady and got married.
Started a business - stress, long hours, and problems. Every problem I turned to food.
In short a mental health problem - with a physical solution. ( what does Dr Tim think to that?)

Let's leave him out of it.
Quote: Paul W @ August 11 2009, 12:55 PM BSTThanks BigFella, trust me mate it's all worth it! girls look at you without laughing, you can walk upstairs without having to camp half way. Or was that just me
One thing I have noticed is the stares have all but stopped.
People would just stand and stare at me, or make comments thinking I was deaf.
No, not just you. As you will see on the TV programme, I could hardly walk.

Well that's simple its...errr...ummm...the size of...a regular cup...size?
Quote: chipolata @ August 11 2009, 1:07 PM BST
Do you think that is bad?
I guess an addiction to food is one of the worst in a way because you still have to eat and can't just avoid it.
