Aaargh... what sitcom?

features a useless doctor. He's an American - so 'm guessing it's a foreign sitcom. He's a bit hopeless like the Doc in the original Reg Perrin.

Kind of a non animated Dr Nick from Simpsons, dark hair, Caucasian. I wonder if it's a work based sitcom because in my mind someone keeps getting sent to him for help, but they obviously never get any

it's doing my head in.

anyone... please?

New or old? Black or white or yellow or green or blue?

A very peculiar practice? Can't remember but did that have an american in it? As well as the main characters.

what a cock.

cheers Griff. Headache over.

phew

There was an odd American in Very Peculiar Practice who takes over the department although the OP sounds like he could be describing the Sit-com (was it Rude Health?) with leading Denis Thatcher impersonator John Wells as an obnoxious incompetent GP.

The American character in A Very Peculiar Practice is Jack Daniels, who appears only in Series 2, as the new vice chancellor of Lowlands University, while Peter Davison's character Stephen Daker is promoted to head of the medical centre. Not that any of this particularly pertinent.
