Generally, the further north you are the cheaper it'll be.

I'm in NY, in the Finger Lakes region. So, Buffalo is about 1 1/2 hours, Rochester is 35 min. and Syracuse is about 1 hr 10 min away. NYC is a haul, about 3 1/2 hours with terrible traffic in spots. I just like the idea of being near a city because of having kids that enjoy museums, shopping and whatnot. 
I'm actually very lucky where I live that nothing is too far.

Opie and Anthony, of course, although it's very hard to pick them up. Every time they get a new station to broadcast on, they get dumped for content issues.
