The Inbetweeners - Series 3 Page 3

Indeed. Bring it on.

Will be a shame if they have to split the four (due to realistically getting into separate unis, jobs, etc). However, they could always make Will have to stay local to look after his mum or something.

Jay's already doing a Uni sitcom it's called "Fresh."

I'd quite like to see a spin-off series in which Neil and his family are forced to flee to the countryside after pissing off some local gangsters.

That's just silly.

At what point would Jay and Will go to the same university? I'm surprised they let Jay back into Sixth Form...

Here's a quote from our Intbetweeners interview:

------------

BCG: Do you think The Inbetweeners could run for a number of years, or will the characters reaching 18 and heading off to university change things too much?

James Buckley (Jay): I'm not sure if half the cast could get into university!

Simon Bird (Will): I think university, certainly for me, is not that different from school. It's still the same people - in a way, it's more fruitful for comedy because people start thinking they're older and wiser and above their station, when actually it's exactly the same. There's much more room for embarrassment too, because you have all this free time to get into scrapes.

------------

My view is that the writers will choose to send Will and Simon to uni, with the other two living in the same town and the four of them will get into adventures in the evening. If you look back at Series 2, hardly any of it was set in college anyway (old people's homes, nightclubs etc)

Yes, quite. They'll have to be careful the characters don't overlap: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/fresh/

I can't wait for series 3!

Yep. There is definitely a third series. They're even thinking of extending it to seven episodes! I have the first two series on DVD.

Well I'm afraid you'll have to Ben. You'll have to. :(

They're doing the old sitcom-characters-go-abroad-for-movie thing.

Didn't they always say they wanted to do a holiday episode of some kind? I think they wanted to go Ibizia (sp?)

Yay! Third series is go!

Hopefully my idea for the Lord of The Flies/Inbetweeners feature film will be next!

Ah great minds, and all that. Go on, do a Lord of the Flies, go on!

Oh, still around, are you?

Although I think the idea of an Inbetweeners film sounds terrible. There's no shame in TV and TV is the shows natural home.
