Great theme tune too. :)

"Holiday road dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee... Holiday road dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee!" :)

You've made me so mad, Miss Dagger!!!!

Really? Why?

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ August 7 2009, 12:06 AM BST

In twenty years time are you going to say you love High School Musical or 17 Again?

I haven't seen them, so couldn't form an opinion. But I hardly think the two are comparable as Joh Hughes' films weren't aimed so squarely at one particular market. His films were more boy/girl, family-oriented whereas High School musical is for little girls to learn dance moves and swoon over boys and 17 again is just for the latter. You'll probably disagree with me, but there you go.

:)

Same market. Little girls just latched on. So, yes I do disagree and I will disagree with anyone who crosses my path... :) (but with a smile)

Nah, not really. ;)

I think he really was mad, but has now had a cross wank and got it out of his system.

Well that ignores how the films were, made, directed, scripted, acted and conceved.

It's like comparing Snakes on a Plane to Monty Python's Life of Brian because they both have snakes in the title.

I don't think families would watch Zac Effron putting his shirt on 50 times in an 1hr 1/2 together and boys hate musicals on the whole so I think there is a difference. (Mind you you do get those flowery boys who like to flounce up and down. If you give me 10 minutes I might find a picture of one I dated) ;)

Families didn't watch Pretty in Pink!

It was a load of tosh about a poor girl, so poor she had a car and a phone in her room, making a stupid dress and going to a prom. For f**k's sake!!!!

That's one of many you cheeky little so-and-so! :)

EDIT: Your last bit is probably less cheeky, more scary. Especially considering it's about lightweight 80's movies!

:)

On the plus side it did have James Spader playing the nasty rich high-school teen, despite the fact he looked well into his thirties.

Were you jealous you didn't go to the prom with Andrew Macarthy, DD? Is that what this is all about?

Console

I was!
Had quite the sizeable crush on him (in Mannequin).

Yeah, I always wanted to go to a prom. Rolling eyes

No, it's annoying when people romantacise the past. The 80s were pretty shit overall, the music and every thing really. There wasn't much good going on, that's why we were all bored. It's much better today.

Rant, rant, rant, rant rant, rant....

:D
